Overview
From the lakeside town of Lindau on Lake Constance to the Bavarian capital of Munich, this thoughtfully designed road cycling journey showcases some of the most scenic and culturally significant landscapes of the northern Alps. Over the course of the week, the route passes through the Bregenzerwald, the Allgäu, Tyrol, the Zugspitze region, the Karwendel mountains, Lake Tegernsee, and the Bavarian Alpine foothills before reaching Munich.
Created specifically for this private group of friends, the route and overall travel experience have been carefully tailored to match the group’s interests, riding style, and expectations. The result is a journey that feels personal, relaxed, and uniquely suited to those taking part.
Riders experience a remarkable variety of terrain and scenery, following quiet roads through mountain valleys, along crystal-clear lakes, and across rolling countryside. The pace can be adapted throughout the week, ranging from more spirited riding on selected sections to a more relaxed approach that allows time to appreciate the landscapes, local culture, and overall travel experience.
Designed for active and experienced cyclists, the tour combines rewarding daily rides with carefully selected accommodations, dedicated support, and a route chosen not only for its cycling appeal but also for the quality of the overall journey. Each day brings a new combination of landscapes, villages, cultural highlights, and Alpine panoramas, creating a natural sense of progression and discovery throughout the week.
Because the group already shares long-standing friendships and a passion for cycling, the social side of the journey becomes an equally important part of the experience. Beyond the riding itself, the week offers the opportunity to enjoy exceptional roads, memorable destinations, and time together in some of the most beautiful regions of southern Germany and western Austria.
Comfortable hotels with distinctive character, memorable regional cuisine, and the support of a dedicated vehicle contribute to a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout the trip.
The result is a road cycling journey that combines sporting challenge, natural beauty, cultural richness, and attentive organization in a way that feels personal, rewarding, and genuinely memorable.

The journey begins on Saturday, September 4, 2027, with individual arrival in Lindau on Lake Constance, and ends in Munich on Saturday, September 11, 2027. Arrival and departure have been planned with convenience in mind. Zurich Airport is the most practical gateway for the start of the trip, with Lindau reachable in about one to one and a half hours by train, depending on the connection. At the end of the journey, Munich Airport can be reached in roughly one hour by train or taxi. The final riding stage concludes in Munich on Friday, September 10. On Saturday morning, the group enjoys breakfast together before saying goodbye. Guests may then either depart individually or extend their stay and enjoy more time in Munich or southern Germany.
Duration: 8 days / 7 nights
This is an 8-day journey with 7 nights in carefully selected accommodations. The format allows the route to unfold at a comfortable pace and creates the right balance of riding, recovery, and shared experience. The goal is not simply to cover distance, but to create a rewarding and well-paced week on and off the bike.
Riding Days: 6 riding days
The tour includes 6 riding days. This creates a true point-to-point journey from Lake Constance to Munich while keeping the overall rhythm balanced and enjoyable. The riding is designed to be active and rewarding, but never rushed. With two guides accompanying the group, each rider can follow their own pace, especially on the climbs, without the day losing its structure or flow. The format also allows for flexibility during the stages: while one part of the group may choose a more relaxed option, another may take on an additional climb or a scenic detour before meeting again at a designated point along the route or later at the hotel. Depending on the day and the group, the pace can therefore be more spirited or more relaxed, while the overall journey remains shared and well-coordinated.
Group Size: Minimum 6 participants, custom-tailored for a private group of friends.
This journey is designed as a private, custom-tailored tour for a group of friends and is based on a minimum of 6 participants. The final setup can be adjusted to the preferred group size, allowing the experience to remain personal, flexible, and well suited to the character of the group.
Guiding
Professional guiding throughout the tour, with two guides from 9 participants onward From 8 participants onward, the group is accompanied by two guides, ensuring a high level of personal attention, riding quality, and overall smoothness throughout the journey. Their role goes well beyond leading the route. They help shape each day with calm oversight, flexibility, and a steady sense of flow, allowing the group to enjoy the experience with confidence and ease. Both guides bring extensive experience to the trip and are able to offer practical support well beyond navigation and pacing. This includes dependable assistance with minor technical issues along the way, adding an extra layer of reassurance throughout the tour.
Riding Level: Fit, active, experienced road cyclists
This tour is intended for fit, active, and experienced road cyclists who enjoy riding on consecutive days and appreciate a well-designed route through varied terrain. The emphasis is on a high-quality riding experience rather than on performance pressure. Strong riders will find plenty to enjoy, while the overall structure of the trip leaves room for scenery, atmosphere, and the pleasure of traveling well.
Expected Age Range: Approximately 60 to 70+
The anticipated group profile is approximately 60 to 70 years and older. The journey is designed accordingly, with a clear focus on quality, comfort, good organization, and an enjoyable daily rhythm. It is built for riders who value not only beautiful roads, but also the overall experience around them.
Support: Full vehicle support throughout the tour
A dedicated support vehicle accompanies the group throughout the tour. This adds comfort, flexibility, and peace of mind throughout the week. It supports luggage transfer, provides drinks and ride nutrition, and is available whenever practical assistance is needed. Just as importantly, it helps keep the journey smooth and relaxed. On a small number of short sections where vehicle access is restricted, direct support by the vehicle is not possible. These are limited exceptions, however, and do not affect the overall level of support provided throughout the journey.
Accommodation Standard: High-quality hotels, ideally at 4- to 5-star level or comparable
The accommodations form an important part of the overall experience. Particular attention is given to comfort, atmosphere, location, and a genuine sense of arrival at the end of each stage. Wherever possible, the journey includes hotels with individual character and, where appropriate, wellness facilities for those who enjoy unwinding after the ride.
